Duncan Macintosh brings vision and creative solutions to small service oriented business organizations. In his role as Small Business Consultant, Duncan has designed marketing plans, built websites, introduced project management systems, implemented HR policy and installed operational systems to high tech and marketing organizations. As a professional speaker, Duncan has presented at conferences in Canada and USA. Duncan Macintosh was a founding partner of Tripcentral.ca. In 15 years his single two agent location grew into a mini-chain of 22 offices with a staff of over 100. During his tenure, he was responsible for staffing and delivery of the in-house destination & sales training programs. Duncan was also instrumental in the acquisition and integration of 16 independent travel businesses operating 26 locations. He created Canada’s first "big box" travel superstore, has appeared on television over 100 times as a travel expert, and produced 32 half hour long travel infomercials. Prior to working in retail travel, Duncan worked for Horizon Holidays where he spent over 350 days on tour and escorted over 30 group departures. Duncan holds an M.B.A. from Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario where he graduated in 1992 and a B.A. in Biology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He believes in high ethical standards and giving back to his community. Duncan is an active member of the Rotary Club of Dundas Valley Sunrise and has held Treasurer, Membership and International director positions on the Board. In addition, Duncan is a coach, league convener and board member of the Dundas Youth Soccer Club and member of the Dundas Granite Curling Club. He is also involved in coaching junior curling. Duncan has visited 70 countries on 5 continents and is working towards membership in the Traveler’s Century Club. |
